JustOneDollar features 'campaigns', highlighting the current families in need.
JustOneDollar is meant to be utilized in email blasts, networking sites and in other advertising venues.
To often, there is a family in need and there is no time to set up a website to share information, needs or to donate in a safe secure manner.
JustOneDollar solves that problem!
One site that can be utilized for different families as the need arises.
Family and friends that are called to help someone in need now have the power of the Internet to extend the circle of giving.
As JustOneDollar grows there will be an archive of past campaigns so you can continue to donate where your heart is called. As well as other local resources to assist families.
On June 11, 2009, 4-year-old Khylee Monson of Pioneer was diagnosed with a brain tumor (pontine glioma ) that her doctors say is terminal.
We are hoping for a miracle, and Khylee’s family can use all the help they can get!
Please donate whatever you can to help pay for her medical care and other expenses.
Donations can be cash or checks written to her mother, Jackie Harrison, and can be left in one of the donation jars around the county or dropped off at any Bank of Amador.
You can also make a safe and secure donation here using your debit, credit card or check.
You will be taken to another website to complete your donation. Donations starts at a $5 but please feel free to donate more ;-) or to change it to a lesser amount. Every little bit help ease the stress of this overwhelming and heartbreaking situation.

For Khylees Sake
THANK YOU!
To all those who have helped Khylee and her family in this most devastating and trying time, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! To date, the Khylee Fundraising Group has raised over $12,000 in cash donations from the donation canisters around the county and online donations! The dinner on August 22nd raised over $14,500. And Jackie's coworkers at Volcano Communications have generously donated over $15,000 to her family.
As a result of the tumor, she also has a necrotizing bacterial infection in her gums. She also has to go to a pediatric dentist 2-3x a week to get her gums debrided and cleaned.
She has to be on antibiotics for the infection and steroids to keep her lips from getting too big.
Doctor said that there is no cure for what Katie has, that she will have a life time battle with this disease. He explained that a cold or flu can trigger an infection or episode that will cause her lip and gum to swell. They were also told that this disease is opportunistic and can spread to her cheeks and face.
They are hesitant to cut it they do not want to damage her lip or damage gum tissue and teeth. After researching Katies condition on the internet, her parents found an expert that specializes in these malformations, but he is in New York. Dr. Milt Waner www.vbiny.org
Dr Waner agreed to take Katie on as a patient and he is confident he can remove most of the tumor, but neither Doctor Waner or Beth Israel Hospital in NY are considered in network with Katies insurance. She will need at least 2 surgeries with follow up treatments in NY. Please help Katie get to NY for surgery to remove this tumor before it spreads into her face.
